The Gold Sovereign is a popular coin minted by the renowned British Royal Mint. The coin is made of 22 carat gold, which corresponds to a fineness of 917/1000. The Sovereign is one of the oldest gold coins in the world and has a long history dating back to 1489, when King Henry VII had the first English gold coin minted.
On the obverse, the coin shows the portrait of King Charles III. The reverse shows the famous motif of St. George slaying a dragon. A symbol of British strength and tradition.
