The Big Five series is dedicated to the five most popular animals in Africa. The elephant, the lion, the rhino, the leopard and the buffalo are minted alternately in this order. The series started in 2019 with the first motif of the elephant. In addition to the gold coins, the product is also available for purchase in silver and platinum.
On one side the coin features an artfully designed image of an impressive African elephant. The South African emblem can be found at the bottom edge. The design on the other side oft he coin shows two majestic elephants standing side by side. If you put several copies next to each other, you get the image of a herd of elephants.
The South African Mint, which produces these impressive coins, has a remarkable history and is known for its outstanding quality. The mint, previously known primarily for producing Krugerrand coins, regained prominence and fresh momentum with the introduction of the Big Five series.
The Big Five Elephant gold coin is available for purchase in the 1 oz size at all branches oft he GVS bullion group. The gold elephant is a tribute to the beauty and wildness of African wildlife and a wonderful addition to any coin collection.

You are guaranteed the price at the time of your order. You will find a summary of your order in your mailbox immediately after placing your order. Also, there is the option to print a summary at the end of the order. We always ask for prompt payment.
After receipt of payment, the items are immediately assembled and packed on camera. Afterwards the dispatch takes place as insured package. We will send you a mail upon receipt of payment. Another mail will be sent to you upon shipment with the shipment number/tracking number. Please check that the shipment is sent directly to you.
Upon receipt of the shipment, check the integrity of the packaging. In case of discrepancies take photos and notify us. The shipment is insured, so you do not bear any risk of loss and theft.
GVS is a global leader in high security storage. If you already have a storage number, you will be asked to specify it before checkout. A new storage contract can also be opened at any time. Silver, Platinum and Palladium can also be stored in a duty-free warehouse. In this case, your purchase is exempt of VAT.
