The Big Five series is dedicated to Africa's five favourite animals. The elephant, lion, rhinoceros, leopard and buffalo are minted alternately in this order. The series started in 2019 with the first motif of the elephant. In addition to the gold coins, the product is also available in silver and platinum.
The coin shows an artistically designed image of an impressive African elephant on the design side. The South African coat of arms can be found at the bottom edge. The design on the value side of the coin shows two majestic elephants standing side by side. If you place several pieces next to each other, you get the image of a herd of elephants.
The South African Mint, which mints these impressive coins, has a remarkable history and is known for its outstanding quality. The mint, which was previously known mainly for the production of Krugerrand coins, regained prominence and fresh impetus with the introduction of the Big Five series.
The Big Five Elephant platinum coin is available to buy in the 1 oz size in all branches of Goldvorsorge and Silbervorsorge. The elephant is a tribute to the beauty and wildness of African wildlife and a wonderful addition to any coin collection.

After receipt of payment, the items are immediately assembled and packed on camera. Afterwards the dispatch takes place as insured package. We will send you a mail upon receipt of payment. Another mail will be sent to you upon shipment with the shipment number/tracking number. Please check that the shipment is sent directly to you.
Upon receipt of the shipment, check the integrity of the packaging. In case of discrepancies take photos and notify us. The shipment is insured, so you do not bear any risk of loss and theft.
