Die 1 oz Silber Eule von Athen wird von der New Zealand Mint herausgegeben. Seit 2017 werden die Silbermünzen von der amerikanischen Prägestätte SilverTowne hergestellt. Das offizielle Ausgabeland ist die Insel Niue im Südpazifik. Die Silbermünzen Eule von Athen können in 1-Unzen-Einheiten, einzeln oder in Tuben zu je 20 Stück, bei Gold- und Silberhändlern gekauft und verkauft werden.
Das Münzmotiv zeigt eine Eule, die an die antike Tetradrachme (Vier-Drachmen-Münze) erinnert – eine bedeutende Münze des antiken Griechenlands. Die Eule war das Wappentier der Stadt Athen und ein Symbol der Weisheit.
Für die Herstellung einer einzigen Tetradrachme benötigte ein Handwerker im 5. Jahrhundert v. Chr. etwa vier Tage Arbeit. Um 500 v. Chr. galten die Athener als wohlhabend, weshalb es als überflüssig galt, weiteres Geld nach Athen zu bringen. Aus dieser Zeit stammt das Sprichwort „Eulen nach Athen tragen“, das bis heute verwendet wird, wenn jemand etwas dorthin bringt, wo ohnehin schon genug davon vorhanden ist.
Die Buchstaben „ΑΘΕ“ sind altgriechisch („Alpha, Theta, Epsilon“) und bedeuten „von den Athenern“.
Die Wertseite der Münze zeigt ein Porträt von Königin Elisabeth II., das Ausgabeland Niue, den Nennwert sowie das Prägejahr. Der geriffelte Münzrand sorgt dafür, dass die Münzen besonders gut stapelbar sind (auf Englisch auch als stacker bezeichnet).
Die Silber Eule von Athen verbindet somit historische Bedeutung mit modernem Edelmetallwert und eignet sich hervorragend als sichere Silberinvestition zur Vermögenssicherung.

After receipt of payment, the items are immediately assembled and packed on camera. Afterwards the dispatch takes place as insured package. We will send you a mail upon receipt of payment. Another mail will be sent to you upon shipment with the shipment number/tracking number. Please check that the shipment is sent directly to you.
Upon receipt of the shipment, check the integrity of the packaging. In case of discrepancies take photos and notify us. The shipment is insured, so you do not bear any risk of loss and theft.
